ESU Board Meeting 86

6-12 May 2024 – Geneva, Switzerland

Welcome

Dear members of the European Students’ Union (ESU), dear participants of the 86th Board Meeting (BM86), the Swiss Student Union (VSS-UNES-USU) would like to invite you all to the 86th BM in Geneva, Switzerland. We are happy to welcome you from the 6th to the 12th of May 2024, have constructive debates, exciting discussions and cultural exchange. You will find many practical information concerning your participation in the event on this website. An official reader will be provided in the weeks before the event.

Registration

The registration is now close. The deadline to pay the participation fees is 14th of April at 23:59 CEST.

To make this event as accessible and inclusive as possible, we have chosen very low participation fees for the 1^st and 2^nd delegates. We hope this will allow most unions to send two delegates to the BM86. Please note that we will guarantee the first two delegates for all unions (number 1 & 2 in the registration form). Depending on the number of registrations, bigger delegations will also be confirmed. We kindly ask you to already register your entire delegation.

Participation fees

1^st delegate: 50 €

2^nd delegate: 80 €

3^rd delegate: 150 €

4^th delegate: 250 €

Practical information

As Switzerland is not part of the Euro-zone, you cannot pay with Euros. The currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). However, card payments are widely accepted. The current Euro – CHF exchange rate ist almost one to one.

In Switzerland, depending on your device, you may need an adapter as not all plugs are standardised with European ones.

Travel

By train: Geneva is well connected internationally via railway. The main station is Geneva, Cornavin Central station.

By plane: Geneva has its own international airport with many European connections. You can also fly to Basel Euro Airport or Zürich International Airport. It then requires a 3h train ride to reach Geneva. We recommend flying directly to Geneva or travelling via railway to reduce costs.

Main venue

Our main venue will be the Ramada Encore by Wyndham Geneva. It is as well the accomodation for the whole week as the venue for the BM sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
