Executive Board

The Executive Board is the executive body of the association.  As a member of the Executive Board, you will be part of a seven-person team responsible for the strategic management of the association and the implementation of decisions made by the Delegates’ Assembly and the Section Council. Get involved, develop ideas, visions, and demands with us. Represent the association and students at Swiss universities at national and international conferences, write articles, and talk about us. Take part in events ranging from panel discussions on higher education policy issues to flash mobs, and mobilize students around higher education policy issues. There are no limits to what you and your ideas can achieve!

What is the Executive Board?

The VSS Board is the executive body of the association.

What does the VSS Board do?

As a member of the Executive Board, you will manage the association as part of a team of 7.

What’s the point?

During your time on the Board, you will be involved in a large number of projects and can learn a great deal with a motivated team, such as project management, lobbying, personnel management, public speaking skills and much more. The tasks depend on the respective dossier.

How much work and time do I have to expect?

The workload on the board is not small, but it is easy to combine with your studies. It helps if you already have experience in a section or student council at your university, but this is not essential.

Students for accreditation process 

Swiss higher education institutions are regularly evaluated to assess how they ensure the quality of studies, teaching, and institutional structures. Accreditations confirm that a higher education institution or a study program meets quality standards. In the accreditation procedure, a student is also part of the review panel – maybe soon you?

Prior knowledge is not necessary – with an interest in education, motivation, and the VSS training, you will be well prepared.

Afterwards, you will be included in the VSS accreditation pool, where you will regularly receive information about open procedures in Switzerland and across Europe, for which you can apply.

Die Kommission für Internationales und Solidarität (SOLIC) des VSS kümmert sich um die studentische Solidarität und die internationale Vernetzung des VSS. Ausschreibung Sektionsrat Co-Präsidium

Das Präsidium für den Sektionsrat ist ein spannendes Ehrenamt und kann sowohl allein als auch in einem Co-Präsidium ausgeübt werden. Du bist für die Vorbereitung, Einberufung, Sitzungsleitung und Moderation des Sektionsrates verantwortlich und tauschst dich dabei mit dem VSS-Vorstand und den Sektionen (den ordentlichen Mitgliedern des Vereins) aus. Der Sektionsrat trifft sich in der Regel einmal pro Monat, aber mindestens neun Mal im Jahr.

Are you looking for an exciting topic for your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis? Combine your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis with working on your professional future. We at the Association of Swiss Student Bodies (VSS) will be happy to support you. Because our field of activity covers a wide range of topics. This means that we can find interesting topics and issues for students from a wide range of degree courses.

We know from our own experience that writing a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis is a major challenge. We are happy to support you in choosing a topic and possible question(s) to enable you to write a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis in an exciting field of practice. In this way, you, but also the VSS and the students of today and tomorrow, can benefit from each other.
